FAQ & Aftercare

Answers to common questions, plus how to care for your new tattoo.

FAQ

How much does a tattoo cost?

Larger projects are $145/hour. Smaller pieces are quoted individually based on size, placement, and detail.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A $125 nonrefundable deposit is required after appointment confirmation and goes toward your tattoo total.

What if I need to reschedule?

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Your deposit will be transferred to your new appointment date as long as the required notice is given.

What if I need to cancel?

If you choose to cancel your appointment entirely, your deposit will be forfeited and is non-refundable.

Does sending an inquiry book my appointment?

No. An inquiry does not reserve an appointment. I'll review your request personally and follow up with pricing and availability.

What should I include in my inquiry?

Your name, tattoo idea, placement, approximate size, preferred date(s), and reference photos.

What styles do you tattoo?

Custom black & grey work: fine line, botanical, ornamental, and illustrative designs.

Where are you located?

South Lake Tahoe, California, with occasional guest spots in Central Oregon.

Tattoo aftercare

Second skin
  • Keep the second skin on for 5 to 7 days for best results.
  • Fluid buildup can happen! Blood and plasma under the bandage during the first day or so is normal, and it helps your tattoo heal.
  • If you notice any leaking, please remove the bandage and let me know!
Removing the bandage
  • Remove the second skin under warm water and wash your tattoo with an unscented, mild soap.
Until it's fully healed
  • Keep washing, drying, and applying ointment 2 to 3 times a day until your tattoo is fully healed.
  • Don't pick at or scratch your tattoo.
What to avoid for 2 to 4 weeks
  • Soaking your tattoo in water, including pools and hot tubs.
  • Saunas and heavy sweating.
  • Tanning beds and direct sunlight.
